Exploring Typography
This type specimen booklet discusses the history and defining characteristics of the typeface Futura. Since the typeface is a modern, sans-serif, the book has a clean, orderly appearance. The positive and negative space of the letterforms is emphasized by filling in negative spaces with color. Point size, weight, style, orientation, and placement were all considered when experimenting with the letterforms.
