This poster was designed for the Avalon String Quartet’s Faculty Recital Series at Northern Illinois University. The goal was to reflect the sound of the music performed as well as the overall mood of the event. The pieces in the program were dramatic and highly emotional. Abstract string forms that shift and buckle are used to represent the music’s intensity.
