I want my cable light socket.?

I want my cable light socket. There is a gold and silver screw on the socket. There are two wires in the cable. A cable has a silver line. Which wire goes to which screw?

The silver screw is for the neutral wire, brass screw for the "hot wire". If an accessory is connected to the neutral wall is white, hot, black or red. If a lamp is wired with lamp cord plug standard molding, the neutral wire is the crest on the side.
